While games like Baldur’s Gate, Icewind Dale, or Diablo threw you headlong into an epic adventure, it was pretty clear that, despite the ability to branch away from the main story in a limited sense, the game had a goal in mind for you. Released when I was a mere boy of 15 or so, Morrowind was my first real journey into a truly open-world experience. the one that most, if not all, hardcore fans of the franchise consider to be the best of the series.
